Suppose you have Boxbilling 0.0.41 installed at http://www.abc.com/client So you need to perform these steps:
- Create new empty folder like http://www.abc.com/new
- Upload BoxBilling 2.2.8 in there
- Create new database for new BoxBilling and make old database backup.
- Install new BoxBilling version by following installation steps at http://www.abc.com/new/install
- Now you have new and old versions working and you need to make migration.
- Save this file https://raw.github.com/gist/1826116/b5bb31dc6b22fb7d2f6cf97a63ef239296caa68a/bb-migrate.php to http://www.abc.com/new/bb-migrate.php
- Edit bb-migrate.php file with your old database connection details
- Run http://www.abc.com/new/bb-migrate.php file from your browser.
- Depending on your database size migration script may timeout or not. If you experience script timeout, contact us and we will provide you instructions.
- After migration is complete, you can test your new BoxBilling by logging in to http://www.abc.com/new/bb-admin.php with your admin details.
If everything went ok:
- Rename http://www.abc.com/client to http://www.abc.com/client2
- Rename http://www.abc.com/new to http://www.abc.com/client
- Edit bb-config.php file and set BB_URL to http://www.abc.com/client
